Our main house was built in the 17th century and has been run as a family business since 1920. After two generations of Ries, one generation of Fandrey-Ries, chef Sebastian Fandrey took over as the fourth generation in 2003. For health reasons, he had to retire from active business life in October 2021. Since then, Franconian hospitality has met Swiss perseverance.
